Description ExamineTAB (2.1) is a three-dimensional displacement discontinuity program for calculating elastic stresses and displacements within tabular ore bodies due to staging of excavations. All excavations must lie on the same plane and be of the same height. It provides an integrated graphical environment for data entry and visualization. A CAD based modeler allows for point and click geometry input and editing. Popup windows allow for entry and modification of model parameters. The editing tools provide a method for performing parametric studies. The graphical data interpreter provides a set of tools for the display of model results. Elements: Constant Element formulation; Uses extended memory for large number of elements. Modeling: Graphical Data Entry / Editing; Automatic Element Generation; Sequencing of Excavation (up to Nine Stages); Input Parameters: thickness of stope / depth of ore body / dip of ore body / in-situ stress ration; Properties of host and pillar rock; user control over convergence parameters for Stress/displacement calculation. Far Field Stresses: Gravitational Data Interpretation: Normal Stress/Displacement contours; View four stages simultaneously on single screen, toggle any stage to full screen view. Miscellaneous: AutoCAD DXF import/export; Full screen/cropped image capture direct to PCX file or printer. Printer Support: HP LaserJet, Paintjet, and DeskJet; Epson 9 and 24 pin.
