| Description | Axum is used for the production of 2D/3D plots and graphs. Data Editor: Import Excel, Quattro, S-PLUS, Lotus, ASCII, dBase files. Supports virtually unlimited-sized data sets. Descriptive statistics: minimum, maximum, mean, average, sum, variance, standard deviation, standard error, median, valid observations, and total observations ANOVA, correlations, and frequency analysis. Goodness-of-fit statistics, including R2, F-stat, and t-stat. Compute arbitrary user-specified confidence intervals. Simple, multiple, and polynomial regression analysis. Non-linear least squares regression analysis. Graph Types: 2D graphs: area, bar (grouped and stacked), box (single and grouped), labeled scatter plots, Smith, polar, curve fitting, non-linear curve fitting, pie, error bar, Smith, text, Lowess, histogram, high-low-average, logarithmic, vector. 2D/3D graphs: line, scatter, spline, regression, contour. 3D graphs: bar, surface. 2D projections in 3D space. Colour-filled mesh surfaces. Colour-filled contours (flooded). Axes: Linear (xy), semi-log, log log, Smith, polar, 3D; Multiple, independently scaled x and y-axes and upper x-axes; Automatic axis offset when additional axes are added. Graph Editor/Plot Attributes: 9 line types; 16 symbol types; 16 colours + 16 custom colours; Line thickness control; Symbol size control; Multiple fill patterns; Use text or numbers to label data points; Automatic cycling of patterns, colours, symbols, and line types; Multiple, editable graphs on a page; Control over layering of graph objects; Interactively rotate 3D graphs; drag on handles to rotate; Break lines at plot symbols.
