Description	LimitState:GEO is a geotechnical stability analysis software application based on an analysis method which directly identifies the critical layout of discontinuities in a soil mass at failure termed the discontinuity layout optimization method. It can analyze geotechnical stability problems of almost any type, including complex combined problems (e.g. involving simultaneously slopes, foundations and/or retaining walls). It produces solutions which are more accurate than those obtained using traditional automated hand calculation software. It has Eurocode 7 partial factors built in and can handle multiple design cases. It generates a cutomizable report which can optionally include free-body diagrams and accompanying equilibrium equations to facilitate hand checking of solutions. It has inbuilt wizards to enable common problem types to be specified quickly. All main objects are mouse selectable and their properties editable using a Property Editor. It can model problems involving groundwater, soil nails and/or pre-existing slip-surfaces. It allows problem geometries to be specified via the mouse or using an inbuilt CAD import facility.
