Description	Visual HELP is a one-dimensional, unsaturated zone flow modeling application built for optimizing the hydrologic design of municipal landfills and for predicting leachate mounding and evaluating potential leachate contamination. It combines the latest version of the HELP model (v.3.07) with an easy-to use interface and powerful graphical features for designing the model and evaluating the modeling results. It includes the International Weather Generator, Landfill Profile Designer, and Report Editor. It's interface and flexible data handling procedures provide you with convenient access to both the basic and advanced features of the HELP model. This completely-integrated modeling environment allows the user to: 1.Graphically create several profiles representing different parts of a landfill; 2.Automatically generate statistically reliable weather data (or create your own); 3.Run complex model simulations; 4.Visualize full-color, high-resolution results, and 5.Prepare graphical and document materials for your report. It utilizes a 'flat' interface structure and innovative graphical tools to give you convenient access to both the basic and advanced features of the HELP model. The result is a truly revolutionary software package that gives you more control and flexibility with your model profile data than ever before. The logical structure of the interface facilitates a very quick learning curve that allows you to generate and modify a typical model profile in just minutes. Some of the key input features include: GIS tools for locating your site; Default profile design templates (recommended by the EPA); A Project Tree View for managing multiple projects, and multiple profiles within each project; A scaled Profile View of the model; Fast access to all model input data using either the Project Tree or the Profile view; Multiple layer grouping; Customizable surface runoff settings. It also includes the latest in GIS technology for generating meteorological data from the weather station nearest to your site. Graphical Display Features: The ability to visualize and present the simulation results is almost as important as creating the model in the first place. It comes with the powerful graphical tools that you need to properly analyse and interpret the results, and produce report-quality figures and summaries of the data. It gives you the power to plot time-series data in a daily, monthly or yearly format. The hydrological modeling results generated by the HELP model include: Precipitation, evapotranspiration and runoff; Lateral drainage; Percolation/Leakage; Average head in specific layers.
