Description | SHEETWAL uses the limit-equilibrium theory to analyse a sheet-pile wall with or without tiebacks. The program will calculate the minimum penetration, earth pressure, shear force, bending moment, and force on the bulkhead. The input parameters are the soil unit weight, strength data, wall height, and position of water table. A total of seven soil layers are allowed and soils with drained or undrained conditions can be specified. The program calculates the active and passive earth pressures layer-by-layer, and the user can check the solution manually. A total of ten examples are presented in the user documentation. It utilises a full-screen editor for input of data with checking for errors. Input is completely free form, and data may be entered in any format or order. The postprocessor provides results for earth pressure distribution, shear diagram and moment diagram. The program currently supports dot-matrix printers, ink jets, desk jets, laser jets, and pen plotters. |
