Description | WinSev is a tool for the interpretation of electrical soundings made using the Schlumberger or the pole-pole spread. Up to 50 points may be entered, either as calculated resistivities or as values of spacings, currents and voltages. The program may also read files created by ABEM and IRIS instruments. The values of the geometry factor and the apparent resistivity are then calculated by the program. The field data may be shifted for the differences in resistivity at every new MN. The model may be created automatically by the program or be entered manually with up to 20 layers. It may be adjusted by hand or automatically. Any thicknesses or resistivities of the model may be fixed, so that the automatic adjustment does not modify these data. Several soundings may also be displayed on the same screen, e.g. to determine the best electrode spacing for a further resistivity mapping. The program displays the depth of each layer and prints their elevations. Windows help in English. Screen languages English or French. Printed legends in English, French, German or Spanish. A free demonstration version, fully operating but limited to one demonstration file, is available on the WWW. |
