Description | TELSTA is a general purpose, non-linear static finite element program for the analysis of soil and soil structure interaction problems. It provides a modified 'Duncan and Chang' hyperbolic model of non-linear soil behaviour that includes proper modelling of unloading and reloading. Provides for simulation of both construction and excavation in the same program and allows specification of initial stresses and compaction-induced stresses that are higher than those consistent with the elastic value of Ko. Includes special interface elements which allow sliding and gaping between the soil and any structures, allows elimination of tension within soil masses and provides a means of modelling any drop from peak to residual strengths. Calculates the local and overall factors of safety along specified slip surfaces. Options for semi-automatic mesh generation, extensive options for plotted output and allows interfacing of plots to popular PC CAD programs. |
