Description CESAR-LCPC is a 2D and 3D finite element code for use in civil engineering calculations. It includes a large library of constitutive laws (von Mises, Mohr-Coulomb, Drucker-Prager, Cam-Clay, Nova, Vermeer, Willam-Warnke, Hoek & Brown). Simulates many types of problems (linear, non-linear, 2D, 3D, static, dynamic) in the fields of soil and rock mechanics, groundwater flow, earthquake engineering, coupled problems (poro-thermomechanics), damage in concrete. Particularly efficient in the analysis of underground works with emphasis on phased analysis (addition and removal of elements). Many comparisons between numerical computations and experimental investigations on real structures have been carried out ensuring good reliability of the software. Meshing and data input (mechanical parameters, loadings...) are carried out using the interactive pre-processor MAX. The results are analysed by the graphic post-processor PEGGY.
