Description | GEOBLOCK is a geological modeling program that provides tools for building, visualizing and analyzing 3D models of mineral deposits and mines. It allows you to specify, create and modify geological models evaluating ore reserves and scheduling mining operations on a more reliable data base. The program supports such spatial datatypes as drillholes, points, polygons, TINs, solids, regular Grids and finite-element meshes. Multiple datasets can be organized into project collections and displayed inside a map window as a conjunction of contour, wireframe or block models simultaneously. Imports and exports data in ODBC, CSV, MS Excel, MS Access, Surfer, MapInfo and other file formats. Maps can be exported as AutoCAD DXF, Windows metafiles or MIF/MID files of MapInfo for further processing. Images and diagrams can be saved as PCX, BMP, GIF, TIFF graphic file formats. Features also include: Database management system with relational DB tables; SQL queries and database field calculator; Processing and composition of drillhole data; Ore dressing prediction with a mineral liberation simulator; Interpolation with inverse distance, kriging, near neighbor and linear methods; Set operations with models; Volumetrics and ore reserve estimations; Interface with Whittle's Open Pit Optimization programs. |
