| Description | SWIFD is a 2D Finite Difference Simulator designed for researchers and students for research, teaching and education, and learning about wave propagation, wave-crack interaction, impact mechanics, damage evolution due to dynamic processes and fault dynamics by visualisation of the dynamic interaction of elastic waves with user-defined structural and material inhomogeneities such as cracks, inclusions, interfaces, delaminations, stick-slip faults in a damageable material environment as well as under conditions of initial stress. |
