Description | BEAVERSOFT is a package of analytical and numerical solutions (finite difference, finite element and random walk methods) for ground-water flow and solute transport developed as an educational tool. It includes programs for steady and unsteady 2D flow in nonhomogeneous aquifers, flow through dams, transport of pollutants by advection and dispersion, and for salt water intrusion problems. The analytical programs provide interactive data entry. For the numerical models, separate input pre-processors are included. The program produces tabular output and simple on-screen graphics. Contains source codes and executable image. Accompanies the book Modelling Ground Water Flow and Pollution by J. Bear and A. Verruijt (D. Reidel Publishing Company, Dordrecht, The Netherlands). |
