| Description | Visual MINTEQ is a Windows version of MINTEQA2, which is a model that can be used to calculate equilibria in dilute aqueous systems. An editable thermodynamic database is used with more than 3000 aqueous species that relies mostly on the NIST Critical Stability constants database. Features include: solubility calculations with solid phases, surface complexation modelling, organic complexation and redox calculations. It interfaces with Excel for the handling of input and output data. The program was developed primarily for teaching purposes, but may be used in other applications. |
