Description	GEO-LOG 3 is a database for the storage and presentation of geological and geotechnical data and the preparation of borehole logs. It is based on a Microsoft Access97 database. Features: Management of the measurement units in both metric and US systems, with conversions. Management of attached OLE documents enabling them to be assigned to a project, site, borehole or a depth and to incorporate them into back-up files. Inclusion of user defined formulas. Multi-criteria search based on SQL requests. Importation of external files (LAS, text, Access, Excel, FoxPro, dBase, Paradox, HTML tables). Download of LIM devices data with a transmission speed up to 38400 baud. Importation of Bitmap and Metafile pictures for logos and geological symbols (the METAMIG application enables the creation of geological symbols in the EMF file format). Exportation of data associated with boreholes (text, Excel, HTML, RTF). Exportation of graphs to picture files (EMF, BMP). Simple management of templates. Interactive page setup of documents on screen and printer. Title boxes are seperately designed and can be assigned to different templates. Filling of curves with geological symbols. Cumulative histograms. Borehole completion records. Insertion of pictures. Creation of multi-borehole profiles.
