Description | MLU (Multi-Layer Unsteady state) is a program for drawdown calculations and inverse modelling of aquifer tests in layered aquifer systems of confined and unconfined condition using a single solution technique for well flow that handles: leaky or confined layered systems of aquifers and aquitards, includes storage of water in the aquitards, with a constant or variable discharge from wells of finite diameter, with wellbore storage and skin. Data input/output features: Interactive data input and/or ASCII text files; Time conversion; Parameter optimization and final output results in ASCII-files; Parameter optimization features; Automated curve fitting based on Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm; Linear and log-transformed least squares solution; Statistical data output includes standard errors and correlation matrix; Drawdown curves and Contour plots. Capacity: 2 Aquifers and 3 aquitards; 2 Pumping or injection wells; 5 Observation wells; 6 Parameters to be optimized in one run. MLU users manual and MLU tutorial are available. |
