| Description | Altipoint is a webservice for creating digital terrain models. The platform independant software allowing creation and download of topographical products from a web browser. Point data sets can be uploaded as ascii file of xyz points (4 possible delimitors). The system generates 3D contours, and makes an xy canvas around the area of interest. It makes pictures with height-based coloration and pictures combining 1 to 4 of above categories. The models can be output as DXF (Autocad), shapefile (ESRI), PostScript, TIFF, PNG, JPEG. Raster pictures come with a world file that georeferences them for GIS use. It requires Javascript and popup windows enabled. A JavaScript-powered wizard guides the user step by step. Previews for points and contours can be accessed for free. Access code is required for selecting output scale and output format. Free trial access code is available on demand. |
