Description | QSIM software for dynamic analysis of slope stability utilising Newmarks method with automatic generation of project accelerograms. In the Newmark method the slope is viewed as a solid block that slides on an inclined plane. Movement occurs when acceleration exceeds the critical value (kc), that is calculated by a pseudo static analysis. When acceleration falls below this value motion proceeds with null acceleration. The model can return the progression of displacements and speeds during the seism and the permanent peak displacement. Features include: Accelerogram import from file: Simulated Accelerogram Generation: for this the following should be provided; Seism duration; Maximum acceleration; Minimum and maximum periods; Rise time; Phase constant. Calculation of maximum displacement of permanent nature and progression of velocities over the time. |
