Description | LatPilePro is a Finite Element program for the design of anchored or braced retaining walls that calculates the soil pressure, pile deflection, moment, shear, and the anchor reactions and required length. Main features: Single Input / output screen allowing the user to inspect the effect of data variations on the response of the system. Variable pile spacing (i.e. soil pressure width supported by the pile). Staged construction with the ability to model a perched water table. Variable pile / wall section inertia. Up to four different sections may be specified for a single shoring system. Analysis of spaced piles or continuous shoring systems (secant piles, diaphragm walls). Handles the case of sloping terrain in front and behind the pile. Analysis of Braced or Anchored systems. Multiple choices for the surcharges (uniform, point, line). Computer Generated or User choice of soil-grout friction (Fs) and modulus of subgrade reaction (Ks). Up to seven soil pressure models to choose from and up to 16 support levels and 8 soil layers may be analyzed with automatic calculation for the anchors grouted lengths. Variable anchor spacing and inclination. Display of maximum values for deflection, moment, shear for evaluation and optimization of the shoring system. Ability to include seismic conditions. Graphical display on the Main Page that includes all of the output data including the anchors and their lengths. The user may read the detailed data numerically on the screen or by tracing the mouse over the output curves. Two more screens are available to enlarge the output results. Documented with a user and a technical manual, and validated against published field studies. |
