Status | Commercial |
Description | Remediation Toolkit provides an integrated data management, visualization, trend analysis, and modeling platform for evaluating the effectiveness of Monitored Natural Attenuation. It combines 3 different software applications (BioTrends, SEQUENCE and BioTracker). Each package contains an interface with a Project Data Management System (Project DMS), and a chemical properties database (CHEMbase). The Project DMS provides a graphical interface to work with monitoring station data, project chemicals, MCL values, and chemical monitoring data. Templates are provided to facilitate manual data entry, and an import utility to import data from most spreadsheets or existing data management systems. BioTrends contains a suite of data analysis and plotting tools for evaluating spatial and temporal trends with x-y charts, calculating first-order degradation rates using the conservative tracer method or the method of Buscheck and Alcantar, calculating sequential transformation rates, calculating site natural attenuation scores using EPA screening criteria, and modeling groundwater transport with the BIOSCREEN model. SEQUENCE is a data visualization package for simultaneously evaluating spatial and temporal trends in the groundwater chemistry. It uses a modified radial diagram mapping technique to plot groundwater sampling data for multiple chemical species, and multiple sampling events. BioTracker is a screening tool for modeling natural attenuation, including optional sequential transformation reactions and chloride release during reductive dehalogenation reactions. It uses a visualization technique for plotting flowpath trajectories down-gradient from source areas, based on a contour map of observed groundwater elevations. |
