Description	SCALE (Structural CALculations Ensemble) is a suite of 500 programs for structural design and detailing. It has four sub-systems: SCALE itself for structural calculations; LUCID for reinforced concrete detailing and steel scheduling; SPADE for steelwork, masonry, timber, component details; TAPE for modifying drawing files created by LUCID or SPADE. Each program takes the form of a text file - written using a notation for control. The user may alter or extend any program, or write his/her own and add them into the ensemble.
