Description Static Probing records, presents and analyses the readout of static penetrometer probes with either mechanical cone, electrical cone or piezocone. Lithological and stratigraphic interpretation is carried out, in user defined steps down to centimetres, using the standard method of Begemann and Schmertmann. Also the methods of Robertson, Douglas-Olsen or Koester may be used in which the data may be optionally normalized to qc and fs. Diagrams of cone and sleeve resistance develop progressively in response to user entry of readings. Data collection can also be performed via an electronic datalogger unit. Parameters evaluated include: angle of friction; relative density; total overburden stress; equivalent Nspt value; shear deformation modulus; undrained cohesion; permeability K; over consolidation ratio; consolidation coefficient Cv; 1D consolidation modulus; Young's modulus (E25 - E50); liquefaction potential. Stratigraphic interpretation may be performed automatically or with user assistance. Bearing capacity parameters for both surface and deep foundations may be calculated. Any individual CPT stratigraphy may be exported to other GeoStru programs (eg Slope). User selected sets of CPTs may be used in combination with the GeoStru module 'Sections' to generate a complete stratigraphic cross section. Reports may be edited in preview, printed or exported to any text processor in RTF format. Export of graphical output to DXF or BMP. Print preview of graphical output with relocation, sizing, cropping, scaling, text addition and headings, prior to printing. S.I. measurement units. HTM Help file and PDF manual file. Interface languages: English, Italian, Spanish.
