Description Dynamic Probing records, presents and analyses dynamic penetrometer readings for any type of penetrometer including new or custom equipment, and borehole SPTs. The program contains a database of numerous correlations, compiled in an extensive literature search, it can then interpret the penetrometer readings, to yield a geotechnical parameter profile. It provides functions for archiving readings by site and for automatic calculation of the real energy transmitted, including correction for torque, and of the correlation coefficient with the SPT. Raster images may be imported to ease positioning of the probe holes (and removed thereafter). Recursive undo and redo. Processing of data is instantaneous during recording, deriving the values of Ndp and Rd and generating a graphic display. The software proposes discrete layer boundaries and enables bitmaps or colours to be assigned for lithological coding. For cohesive and cohesionless soils, several correlations are available allowing a more precise 'geotechnical calibration' of the specific trial zone. Bearing capacity calculation for various foundation geometries (strip, pad or raft), relative settlements, design of piles and assessment of liquefaction potential in areas subject to seismic forces is provided. The stratigraphic column generated may be exported to other GeoStru programs (eg Slope, LoadCap, Pile-MP). User defined sets of probe holes may be used in combination with the GeoStru program 'Sections' to generate a complete stratigraphic cross-section. Reports may be edited in preview, printed or exported to any text processor in RTF format. Export of graphical output to DXF or BMP. Print preview of graphical output with relocation, sizing, cropping, scaling, text addition and headings, prior to printing. S.I. measurement units. HTM Help file and PDF manual file.
