Description | OPR (Optical Plot Reading) converts scanned images of a plot, graph or chart into a data file with X, Y coordinates of graph's points instead of manual digitizing. It offers automatic acquisition of several thousand points from a line (solid or dashed) or scatter graph. It can process various problematic cases such as crossed lines, tilted plots, heavy gridlines etc. It automatically follows the line or the scatter and collects its X, Y values. The data is arranged in *.prn format. It is possible to digitize only a part of a graph. The digitizing results are displayed for verification against original graph on the computer display. It includes routines for smoothing and point ordering. The processed data can be saved as an ASCII file. Five digitizing modes: automatic solid and dashed lines, semi-automatic, manual - by means of mouse (similar to digitizing tablet), scatter. Digitizing can be performed on the original high resolution file or on a low resolution screen image for time saving. Unlimited correction for skewed graphs. Two grid removal modes: by width difference and by color difference. |
