Description | ACCECALC carries out the analysis of rock slopes under seismic conditions through the evaluation of movements of a block of rock subject to dynamic forces, based on the form of a given accelerogram. The program requires the geometry of the rock face, the geomechanical parameters under examination, the geometry of the slip surface. The design accelerogram is defined in terms of the duration and maximum value of the seismic acceleration, the number of waves and their characteristic period. Using a pseudo-static type analysis the acceleration capable of bringing the slope to a condition of equilibrium limit is determined. The program determines the speeds and movements in the direction of slip for each point of the calculated accelerogram. The sum of the movements are calculated each time the accelerogram exceeds the critical acceleration and this determines the total movement at the end of the dynamic event and this determines the fundamental parameter through which the stability of the slope can be judged. Results can be cut and pasted to other programs or exported in Microsoft Word 97 format. The complete user manual is available on-line. Multilingual (Italian, English, French and Spanish). LAN supported. A full working demo version is available on the WWW. |
