Description | Geo-EAS, which stands for Geostatistical Environmental Assessment Software, version 1.2.1 was released by the USA EPA in May, 1990, although several minor revisions have since taken place in the source-code files. It is a collection of 13 interactive tools for 2D geostatistical analyses of spatially distributed data. The principal function is the production of 2D grids and contour maps of interpolated (kriged) estimates from sample data. The package is completely menu-driven and includes modules for datafile management, data transformations, univariate statistics, variogram analysis, cross-validation, kriging, making contour maps, post plots, and line/scatter graphs. IBM graphics compatible printer and HP plotter output is provided. All data files are standard ASCII data files, making interchange with other packages easy. Fortran source code is also available. Typically up to 200 samples can be handled with the DOS version and with the UNIX version up to 1000 samples can be used with up to 48 variables modelled. |
