| Description | SPUNT-A3 computes reactions of a horizontally loaded sheet-pile wall. The loads due to the excavation are automatically calculated. The user may specify external loads and/or displacements. An arbitrary number of anchors may be used. The non-linear soil reactions are modelled using one of four methods: effective stress, total stress and two manual models. Depending on the soil model, the ground water levels and the pore pressures may be varied in different ways. The program is fully interactive, and the progression of the excavation is decided during the program execution. The program does not check the vertical equilibrium of the sheet-pile wall. Uses SPUNTPLOT to produce the following plots: Lateral displacement - depth; Rotation - depth; Shear force - depth; Moment - depth; Soil reaction and water pressure - depth; Degree of mobilisation - depth; A view of the current excavation situation including the anchor forces. |
