| Description | MODELGIS is a comprehensive, menu-driven GIS-based interface for MODFLOW running on Unix workstations. This program provides for the creation of variable-spaced model grids, enables data stored within the Arc/Info GIS to be transformed into lists and matrices required for model input, resolves unwanted feature overlaps, and enables model input and output to be displayed with high-quality graphics using the Arc/Info map composition functions. Model grids can be interactively created or imported from a model data, and edited. It provides for automated data (re-)allocation through user-selected ARC/Info overlay functions. ModelGIS also includes a complete model interface module to prepare MODFLOW data sets with separate menus for each of the MODFLOW packages. The program provides options for automatic calculation of conductance and interpolation of elevations from known data points. Time-varying data can be accessed from data tables in databases and processed with respect to model stress period length. |
