Description | ROCKPACK III is a package of 18 programs linked together by a master menu for rock slope stability analysis based on "Rock Slope Engineering" by Hoek and Bray, with enhancements and modified approaches developed with the Corps of Engineers, the US Forest Service, and state DOT's. It is designed to support the user from data collection through geologic analysis by stereonet to safety factor calculations by limit equilibrium methods and finally to slope design and design of artificial support if required. Capabilities include computerized field data collection. Kinematic stereonet analyses for rock slope stability. Determination of plane, wedge and toppling safety factors. Considers water pressures, surcharges, and seismicity. Design of rockbolt or cable support. Spreadsheet type data entry. Data files may be saved and read in csv format. Data files from earlier DOS versions of the program may be converted. Graphical output, including stereonets. A demonstration version is available on the www. |
