Description RETAIN is a program for free standing and propped, cantilever and gravity retaining wall design and analysis to BS8110, BS5400 and DTp BD37/88. Can include effects of shear key or battered faces. Multiple soil layers and different ground water levels on active and passive sides of the wall. Line, patch and point wall and surcharge loads. Options for compaction pressures, flooded tension cracks and back friction. Geometry input graphically. Checks FOS against overturning, sliding, bearing capacity and Brinch-Hansen.
