Description | Geoslide/Proslide is a pair of programs for rock wedge sliding analysis. Geoslide has the normal features to examine the kinematics of sliding and will do a single wedge analysis for any loading condition and slope geometry. Proslide, which is Geoslide run over and over again, but using a different joint geometry for each run. It needs a list of discontinuities (strike, dip, cohesion, friction angle) and it selects a random pair of discontinuities, investigates the chance for sliding failure and then if it is kinematically possible, will find the safety factor. The safety factors are then plotted in the form of a cumulative distribution diagram. The True Basic source code is available. |
