Description	Practical Geostatistics 2000 by Isobel Clark and William V Harper is an update on CD ROM of the 1979 book by Isobel Clark. The new version contains all of the background statistical material needed to underpin true understanding of geostatistical estimation. It contains full data sets, worked examples, exercises at the end of each chapter and answers in the back. Jargon and mathematics are kept to a minimum and explanations are given in English rather than cryptic-speak. The book is written in LaTeX and included on each disc is the free Scientific Notebook Viewer under licence. Sections can be printed out by the reader and all text and pictures can be read on screen. Hypertext links between chapters are included. A demo version of the EcoSSe software is also included so that the data sets can be analysed on a PC under Windows 95, 98 or NT.
